Autumn: You’re Mine

REMEMBERING THE MONTH THAT SHIT GOT DONE

Following on from my Summer To-Do List series, and having run out of Summer but not my to-do list, I give you…

AUTUMN: YOU’RE MINE.

It was going to be The Month That Shit Got Done, but I looked at the date.

Then I thought The MonthS, but, well, that could just go on forever.

That being said, September has been an incredibly busy month here at Chez Laidig, and it doesn’t seem to be letting up any time soon. But I’ll keep it short and sweet.

A lot has happened.

OCTOBER INCOMING.

  1. Oh man…I really like the Halloween decoration. I’m not one to decorate pretty much anything at all, but I’d totally put that up in my apartment.

    1. Haha, thank you! I’m not one for cute things, but these guys… I’m slightly in love with them. I may or may not be making a spider, but shh, Laidig Snr doesn’t know about that yet.

      1. Again with the pessimism! The creatures have been multiplying for the past few months, only halting when I get ache in my knuckles. I made vampires not that long ago…

    1. Thank you! They are indeedy – first go at amigumuri. They’re from a book called Creepy Cute Crochet (except for the pumpkin, that was just me adapting a pattern with thicker wool). Crochet is addictive. I’ve had to stop myself, because I was becoming overrun.

      1. I just recently decided to take it up, mainly because there was a snowman I wanted to make, but then I went to JoAnn’s fabric and craft store and got so overwhelmed I didn’t buy anything. But these are verrrrrry tempting.

      2. Make the snowman, make the snowman!

I’m a recent learner, too. I got the book a couple of years ago, took until June this year before I tried anything. At the end of August I had over 10 characters made. It’s not a beginner’s book at all, though – had to do a bit of research before I could try anything, and even when I knew them I had to look up videos on how to do things.

      3. Wow, how persuasive am I – maybe I need to change career paths and work for the book’s creator 🙂
